Our boutique ranch produces delicious, healthy, affordable, fresh food for you and your family. That's what you'll find when you visit us at the Farmer's Markets or come out to the ranch to see us at work in the north western part of Las Vegas Valley. FoodWe offer a variety of home grown food for you to select from. We have eggs year 'round, but also offer seasonal fruit, vegetables, and a special item you won't find anywhere else - live surgical capons*. |
Philosophy
Our food is grown naturally with no chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We use our own compost and manures to invigorate our soil, and our chickens do most of the pest control here! Our hens are fed a wholesome diet of grasses, vegetables, fruits, natural prey, oyster shells, and a vitamin mineral supplement. We don't use any artificial growth hormones nor do we give them antibiotics (unless a chicken is ill, then she is isolated and cared for); we keep them in a large pen with cozy coop for their safety, but let them out to roam the gardens each afternoon. We believe in sustainable practices that preserve our environment as well as mimic as close to a pre-agrerian concept as is possible in the 21st century.
We support our local 4 H Club, the Las Vegas chapter of Horse Council of Nevada, and Nevada Grown Co-Op.
